Canadian born Steven R. Gilmore moved to Los Angeles in 1994 where he continues to pursue his passion for painting and graphic design.
Gilmore first came to prominence in the mid 1980s when he designed a profusion of record sleeves for Nettwerk Records (based in Vancouver, Canada) from 1984 to 1989, most notably for the ground breaking Industrial/EBM group Skinny Puppy. Gilmore's list of music clients also includes Iggy Pop, Genesis P-Orridge, Chris & Cosey, MC 900 Foot Jesus, Severed Heads, Static-X, A Perfect Circle, The Cult, the film composers Howard Shore, Tyler Bates, Hans Zimmer, Two Steps From Hell, along with several major and independent record labels. Additional clients include The Holy Body Tattoo, Dita Eyewear, Industrial Light and Magic, DTS Sound Systems, Coca-Cola, Nike, Lend Me It and more. Gilmore's work has appeared in numerous design and fine arts publications.
