Jovan Tarbuk (1980) is a graphic artist and poster designer from Serbia. He works as a poster artist for The National Theatre in Belgrade. He created posters for numerous theatre productions and events in Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia. His work in the field of visual communications and especially poster design has received many awards and honors, including the Award for Best Poster at the International Biennale of Theatre Posters in Varazdin 2011, Jury Prize for Best World Logo, Hiiibrand, China 2013, and he is amongst the winners of Poster Heroes 6 – Right in Love, 2016. Also he received the Award of the National Theatre in Belgrade for outstanding artistic contribution, and has been honored with numerous national and international honors and diplomas. He is a regular participant in international poster exhibitions and had had several solo and group exhibitions (Italy, Greece, Spain, Poland, France, Russia, USA, Ecuador, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, China, Ukraine,). His work is included in several international collections and Poster museums. As well as being published in numerous International Magazines and Catalogues, his design work has also been acknowledged in books: Presenting Shakespeare: 1,100 Posters from Around the World, Princeton Architectural Press, 2016; 1 000 crayons pour la liberté d’expression, Paris, 2015; and in the New Graphic Magazine No. 32, Hong Kong, 2013. He is a member of the Association of Artists of Applied arts-and designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS).
