Grzegorz Pabel was born in 1940 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. He studied at the painting department of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under the guidance of Jan Cybis, from which he graduated and then worked at starting from 1967. He taught painting at Interior Design faculty and then at Graphics faculty. In 1991-1993 he was the vice-rector of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he is a professor since 1992. From 1996 to 2007 he ran Studio Gallery in Warsaw. Currently he is teaching at Warsaw School of Information Technology (WIT). He has presented his artworks at numerous solo and group exhibitions.
