Franz Licht, born in 1961 near Karlsruhe, now lives and works in northern Germany. He is self-taught and deals with the different manifestations of concrete art. Out of this context also manifest his work, with pronounced references to color field and hardedge painting, as well as architecture. He likes to work serially and his focus is on conveying clarity and the execution of highest quality craftsmanship. Franz Licht does not focus on the interpretation of his works, but rather on the experience and the experience of viewing.
