Christine Löw, born in Ochtrup/Westf., lives and works in Zangberg / Germany.
Studied drawing with Heinz Seeber, Munich (1985-1988) and painting with Richard Bauschmid, Munich (1990 –1993). Since 1996 many exhibitions (solo and group shows).
Artist statement
Primarily I work with a strong emphasis on geometric abstraction, a serie on concrete art, on a reducing of image structures with strict geometrical form, mainly with horizontal and vertical stripes with various widths.
My paintings are composed of few elements - line, proportion, color and medium and they are characterized by luminous color, sensuous surfaces and clear configuration.
My pictures are in small and large formats, p.e. 20 x 20 cm and also 100 x 130 cm.
