Anita Bartos

"Anita Bartos sensitively perceives the world, its smell, colour, movement, observing people's features and stories. Her senses absorb reality, dreams and coherence. All these ingredients, which she encounters and soaks in every day, she processes in her own, re-evaluates, recasts, combines and and offers in her creative displays. Collages are for the artist the expression of inner freedom and offer us on the other hand a small look into Anita's inside." "When Anita Bartos creates her art, she plays impressive and genius chords on the piano like those by Tchaikovsky in piano concert in B minor, however she doesn't share his pathetic fuss and sentimentality. Her infinite imaginativeness transforms into a perfectly balanced complicated interaction of colours. Her colour palette is very diverse in fascinating ways, however she never loses her vision of the big picture. In life she undoubtedly experienced deprivation but she managed to sublimate her pain masterfully in artistic work. From her work, the collage, we feel a bit of the pain of the Pieta "stranger on the shore" by Acker Bilk."
