Miroslava Rakovic


Miroslava Rakovic was born on June 3, 1955 in Novi Sad, Serbia.

She graduated from the University of Novi Sad, at the Academy of Arts, Department of Graphic Design. She is also a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina and has been a high school teacher of graphic design for over 16 years. She is engaged in painting, digital graphics, illustrations, graphic design and photography. She has exhibited her work in Serbia and in many cities across Europe.

As an artist, she is guided by imagination, emotion, intuition and revealing language, which is deeper than words - textures, symbols, shapes, lines, memories and expression, which include gateway through time. Using a personal language of form and expression, she creates intuitive layered abstracts, which are metaphors for the emotional landscapes that we all inhabit.  Her creative work is an act of finding interesting shapes and unexpected compositions.
